Iran Embassy in Dhaka Celebrates the 41st Anniversary of the Victory of the Islamic Revolution
Just like previous years the Iranian Embassy celebrated the 41st birthday of Islamic Revolution.
In the said ceremony about 200 guests including foreign diplomats residing in Dhaka, representatives of international organizations, officials from various Bangladeshi ministries, businesspeople, Iranian nationals residing in Bangladesh, media and news peoples as well as distinguished thinkers and scholars participated.
H.E. Mr., Mohammad Reza Nafar the honorable Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh in his speech touched upon the numerous achievements of Iran in the last forty one years. “The 41-year longevity of this Republic is owed to the ceaseless and colorful conspiracies hatched against the people of Iran and of course to their subsequent failures. And by conspiracies I mean launching an 8-year imposed war against my country, military coups, supporting the assassination of 18 thousand Iranian civilians and officials that the last one was the assassination of Gen. Qasem Soleimani, activating the ethnic-religious rifts, imposition of all-out sanctions, unilaterally breaching the nuclear deal (JCPOA), provoking Iran’s neighbors, fomenting Iranophobia and in one word working day and night in order to topple the Iranian regime. Yet all these animosities have not been able to shake the main pillars of our establishment. Today Iran is the herald of peace and security in the world and especially in the strategic Middle East region and is at the forefront of the global fight against terrorism and extremism. Its Decisive role against ISIS is the best example.” , he added. He also made mention of the manifold commonalities between Iran and Bangladesh and expressed hope the bilateral relations will grow in every field under the capable leadership of Sheikh Hasina.
H.E. Mr. Md. Tajul Islam the incumbent Member of Parliament and the Honorable Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and cooperatives of People’s Republic of Bangladesh who graced the ceremony as the chief guest pointed out the potentialities existing bilaterally between Iran and Bangladesh and promised he will do all he can to enhance the relationship between Iran and Bangladesh. In conclusion of his remarks he congratulated the Iranian nation, government as well the Supreme Leader on the 41st anniversary of the Iranian Revolution.
