Ambassador of I.R Iran met with Directors of SAARC Human Rights Foundation

On September 14, 2026, the Executive Director and officials of the SAARC Human Rights Foundation paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Dr. Rahimi Jahanabadi, the Honorable Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangladesh, at the Embassy premises in Dhaka.

During the meeting, members of the Foundation unequivocally condemned the ongoing war crimes and human rights violations committed by the United States and the Zionist regime against the Iranian nation in the recent conflict. They further denounced the unilateral sanctions and naval blockade imposed on Iran by adversaries as gross infringements upon human rights, reaffirming their solidarity with the Iranian people. As a gesture of empathy with the nation and Government of Iran, a plaque of appreciation alongside the symbolic SAARC flag was presented to the Ambassador.

Expressing his gratitude for the Foundation's principled stance, Dr. Rahimi Jahanabadi elaborated on the multifaceted human rights violations perpetrated by the US administration and the Zionist regime. He emphasized that the recent warfare constitutes not merely a crime against the Iranian population, but—by provoking an energy crisis—threatens the livelihoods, employment, and human dignity of millions worldwide, undermining human rights on a global scale.
