FM Araghchi Bangladeshi counterpart talk regional developments Gaza genocide
Irans Minister of Foreign Affairs Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his Bangladeshi counterpart Mohammad Touhid Hossain held a telephone conversation to exchange views on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.

Araghchi strongly condemned the crimes of the Zionist regime—particularly the denial of access to water and food for the Palestinian people. He emphasized the urgent need for Islamic countries to take immediate action through convening an emergency session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and activating other international mechanisms to halt the genocide in Gaza and counter the aggression of the regime.
The Iranian Foreign Minister further described the plan to annex the West Bank to the Zionist regime as another indication of the occupying regime’s criminal agenda to eliminate Palestine. He called for firm and coordinated action by Islamic countries to stop the genocide in Gaza and deliver immediate aid to the defenseless Palestinian people.
The Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, for his part, condemned the continued atrocities committed by Israel and stressed the urgent and effective need to support the oppressed people of Palestine, including through mechanisms within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
During the call, both sides also reviewed bilateral relations and reaffirmed the shared determination of their respective leaderships to deepen ties and maintain ongoing consultations.
At the beginning of the call, the Iranian Foreign Minister expressed condolences over the loss of several lives in a training aircraft crash in Dhaka. He expressed appreciation for Bangladesh’s position in condemning the aggression of the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran.
