The opening ceremony of the meeting of the secretaries general of the chambers of commerce of the member states of the D-8 organization was held at Dhaka’s Pan Pacific hotel on July 26.

The opening ceremony of the meeting of the secretaries general of the chambers of commerce of the member states of the D-8 organization was held at Dhaka’s Pan Pacific hotel on July 26. Bangladeshi Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen, Minister of Commerce Mr. Tipu Munshi, the Secretary General of the chambers of commerce of the D-8 organization Mr. Sheikh Fazil Fahim, and also the heads of the 8 chambers of commerce of the member states (Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Egypt) were in participation of the ceremony. During the meeting, head of the Iranian chamber of commerce, Mr. Gholamhossein Shafei, delieverd a speech. The heads of the Bushehr chamber of commerce and also two members of the Iranian parliment (the Islamic Counsultaive assembly) accompany the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran during this visit.On the sidelines of the conference, an exhibition is being held to showcase the capacities and potentials of the Iranian chamber of commerce.
