In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful, On August 25, 2026, His Excellency Dr. Rahimi Jahanabadi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangladesh, met and held discussions with His Excellency Dr. Khalilur Rahman, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The meeting, which was also attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focused on consultations regarding bilateral relations. During the exchange, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran conveyed Tehran’s perspectives regarding several key areas of bilateral interest, as well as joint activities and cooperation within the framework of the United Nations and some regional organizations. It is worth noting that Dr. Khalilur Rahman is the President-elect of the United Nations General Assembly.
