The one-ton bomb that fell on Al-Ahli Arab Hospital actually shook the structures of the order established by the UN Charter and removed the mask from the faces of human rights claimants. In the Gaza strip, a severe violation of human rights is calamitously under way and international mechanisms do not possess the needed power to end this violence. The UN Security Council, as one of the main and executive pillars of this organization and responsible for maintaining international peace and security, has practically been disabled by the US veto and cannot prevent the continuation of a human disaster! The assessment of the Security Council performance clearly shows that some members, led by the United States, do not have the resolve to stop the war, and cause further suffering for and death of more civilians with their inaction. There is no more talk of peacekeeping operations, humanitarian corridors and no-fly zones. The responsibility for protection and humanitarian interventions, once prescribed by the Security Council for a much smaller scale of international crimes, has been completely forgotten. Western governments, which used their full capacity in some countries for much smaller issues, today have fallen into a deathly silence regarding the targeted genocide of thousands of innocent people in Gaza. The attack on Al-Shifa Hospital in the north of the Gaza Strip and the aggressor Zionist army soldiers entering this hospital is the latest war crime committed by this regime amid the deathly silence of the United States and the claimant European countries. In the contemporary international community, the fundamental humanitarian rules are considered as inviolable principles, some of which such as the principle of distinction between military and civilian property have become imperative. Aid workers are actually agents and servants of humanity, whose immunity in the conflict zone has always been backed by international principles. The medical staff strive to preserve human dignity and protect humanitarian rights, and a direct attack on them is one of the most concrete examples of war crimes recognized in accordance with the provisions of the Rome Statute and the four Geneva Conventions. The fabricated claims about and false stagings of the activities of the Resistance centers in hospitals and medical centers are the only cover that provides the necessary excuse for the continuation of the Zionist regime’s crimes in Gaza. This is despite the fact that the medical staff are not only immune from harassment during their relief operations, but any arbitrary arrest and preventing them from accessing patients and disrupting the treatment process is also considered a war crime and is punishable by criminal prosecution in international courts. It is a pity that in the 21st century, the human rights claimants make no reaction when the Zionist authorities talk about the ethnic cleansing and the forced migration of the residents of Gaza in their official statements. The humanitarian rights rules which were supposed to protect human dignity, are victimized by the American and European dual standards, and the most obvious principles of armed conflicts, such as no attack on hospitals and medical centers, do not evoke the mentioned governments! The World Health Organization has described the state of Al-Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza as deeply worrying and terrifying. The Director of Gaza at the International Committee of the Red Cross talks about the occurrence of a terrible disaster in Gaza. He emphasized that the civilians are demanding to be moved to safe places. The President of Al-Shifa Hospital pointed out that you can smell death in this hospital and patients are asking for help to save their lives! Nevertheless, it is unclear when conscience will strike Western statesmen?! Meanwhile, the Zionist regime, with the support of the US and the Troika, is preventing the dispatch of humanitarian aid from contributing countries and has created a calamitous situation in Gaza. As a result, many countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, have not been able to send aid to Gaza. This situation is a clear sign that the bloodthirsty Zionist regime has violated not only the Palestinian territories but also all human principles and international rules!
