In The Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
The Honorable chief guest, H.E. Dr. Hassan Mahmoud MP. The Minister of Information, Excellencies, Dear guests, Diplomats, Journalists, artists, Moviemakers, celebrities, Ladies and gentlemen, السلام علیکم and good night.
Honorable Audience,
I am very much grateful to the Almighty God for providing us with the chance to get together in this memorable night in this friendly gathering for unveiling a lasting work of art that is a jointly-produced movie by Iran and Bangladesh called “Din - The day”. Indeed tonight is a memorable and unforgettable in the diary of all of us because we are witnessing the manifestation of synergy and friendship between different nations from the shared culture and civilization. We have come to add a golden page to the glorified cinematic resume of Iran and Bangladesh.
At the outset, I would like to intimately congratulate the 100th birth anniversary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the father of the nation and 50th anniversary of the Bangladesh independence to the Government and People of this country.
I deem it necessary to thank all the organizers of this event to unveil this film, specially my dear brother Ananta Jalil for inviting me to attend this ceremony.
Dear Friends,
Tonight’s ceremony is special and exceptional from various aspects:
1- Screening of a joint art production with the participation of renowned and reputable artists from the 4 countries of Bangladesh, Iran, India and Turkey.
2- Unveiling of a movie made in the midst of Corona Pandemic and at a time when cultural, scientific, artistic and social movements have slowed down considerably which shows that Iran and Bangladesh Cinema are alive and growing even under hard circumstances.
3- The well-crafted script, strong direction and highly advanced cinematography and visual effects and the performance of celebrated actors and actresses fromthe 4 said countries are among some of the audio-video attractions of this movie.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
While praising the commendable artistic and technical dimensions of this valuable film I would like to celebrate the presence of the international artists specially the popular actors of my country who are actually the cultural representatives of Iran: Mr.Atashzamzam. Mr. Mohammad Reza Hedayati. Mr. Amir Hossein Sedigh and other Iranian and non-Iranian actors in this movie and allow me to present my courtesy and gratitude to you all.
With your permission, I would like introduce the most important aspect of creation of this work of art. Undoubtedly, everybody attests that the most fundamental factor in the successful making of “The day” which had made it an eternal and lasting movie in the history the cinema of Iran, Bangladesh, India and Turkey is the existence of a beloved, creative, popular, art-creating and in one word “a real human being named “Ananta Jalil”. I have known him very briefly and for only some days but in my meeting with him I was reminded once again that there are so many shared values and ideals between us and the people of our lands. I found Dear Ananta’s personality much greater and more impactful than his artistic face and aspect. Or perhaps I’d better say that I saw Ananta Jalil’s real art in his humanitarian and benevolent personality that has been lying behind his name and fame i.e. a young famous rich man who has great social responsibility towards his people and is the unsung and genuine supporter of the countless number of poor and the orphaned in this Luxury-oriented world where most people care only for getting wealthier. Here is hoping that all of us will pursue the human values and sympathizes more with the people under today’s hard conditions.
In conclusion my special thanks should go to H.E. Dr. Hassan Mahmoud, the Honorable Information Minister of People’s Republic of Bangladesh for his attention to culture and cinema and I should also thank all the cast and crew of this great and valuable joint work of art between Iran and Bangladesh that is »The day«. Wishing happiness and good health for all the people of the world and eradication of Corona Virus. let me offer my most heart-felt thanks for this movie which has painted a beautiful picture of the bonds of friendship and closeness between the dear people of Iran and Bangladesh.
