Ambassador of I.R. Iran convened meeting of the Cultural Council in Embassy

On September 3, 2026, the monthly meeting of the Cultural Council was convened at the Embassy premises, presided over by His Excellency Dr. Rahimi Jahanabadi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Dhaka, alongside the Cultural Counsellor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bangladesh.

The council reviewed recent initiatives, including the Persian Literature Department festival, diplomatic visits to universities and cultural institutions, specialized engagements with television networks, digital diplomacy operations, outreach to Bangladesh’s literary and cultural elite, and the commemoration of religious occasions, notably Milad un-Nabi.

Furthermore, the council established key upcoming priorities, agreeing to coordinate the "Qand-e Parsi" (Persian Poetry) symposium, host commentary sessions on the Masnavi-ye Ma'navi at the Cultural Centre, advance the bilateral Cultural Cooperation Agreement, and organize the Iranian Cultural Week in Dhaka.
